Hardware Impaired Ambient Backscatter NOMA Systems: Reliability and Security

چکیده

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and ambient backscatter communication have been envisioned as two promising technologies for the Internet-of-things due to their high spectral efficiency energy efficiency. Motivated by this fact, we consider an NOMA system in presence of a malicious eavesdropper. Under realistic assumptions residual hardware impairments (RHIs), channel estimation errors (CEEs) imperfect successive interference cancellation (ipSIC), investigate physical layer security (PLS) systems with emphasis on reliability security. In order further improve considered system, artificial noise scheme is proposed where radio frequency (RF) source acts jammer that transmits signals legitimate receivers On basis, analytical expressions outage probability (OP) intercept (IP) are derived. To gain more insights, asymptotic analysis corresponding diversity orders OP signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime carried out, behaviors IP main-to-eavesdropper (MER) region explored well. Finally, correctness theoretical verified Monte Carlo simulation results. These results show compared non-ideal conditions, under ideal but low.

Outage Analysis of Ambient Backscatter Communication Systems

This paper addresses the problem of outage characterization of an ambient backscatter communication system with a pair of passive tag and reader. In particular, an exact expression for the effective channel distribution is derived. Then, the outage probability at the reader is analyzed rigorously. Since the expression contains an infinite sum, a tight truncation error bound has been derived to ...

BackFi: High Throughput Ambient Backscatter – Public Review

The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to connect billions of intelligent devices in everyday life. These smart devices are usually small and run with very limited power source (tiny batteries or even without a battery, i.e., using power harvesting technologies), but required to operate for a long time. Therefore, the wireless connectivity between the IoT devices and the Internet should be extre...

Ambient Backscatter Communications: A Contemporary Survey

Recently, ambient backscatter communications has been introduced as a cutting-edge technology which enables smart devices to communicate by utilizing ambient radio frequency (RF) signals without requiring active RF transmission. This technology is especially effective in addressing communication and energy efficiency problems for low-power communications systems such as sensor networks. It is e...

Achievable information rates of ambient backscatter communications

Ambient backscatter is an intriguing wireless communication paradigm that allows small devices to compute and communicate by using only the power they harvest from radio-frequency (RF) signals in the air. Ambient backscattering devices reflect existing RF signals emitted by legacy communications systems, such as digital TV broadcasting, cellular or Wi-Fi ones, which would be otherwise treated a...
